Kathryn Lanier-Hunt established the Potters Wheel in 1995 as a teaching studio and art gallery. She teaches pottery classes and showcases her work along with the work of other artists in a relaxed atmosphere.

The business has grown steadily. The number of wheels, kilns and classes has grown. Children's classes were added. The location changed and the studio was enlarged, with more wheels, classes, teachers and employees. Paint your own Pottery and unique gifts were added. Trunk shows and art shows increased. We are now a bustling studio. We have 4 teachers, with 6 kilns, 8 wheels and other equipment. We fire to cone 6, cone 06 & raku. We shop markets all over the country for fabulous gifts, but are most pleased with the artwork we feature by our studio artists. We are  proud to bring you wonderful work from artists around the USA.  We also offer exhibitions showcasing local art.
