Hi guys!  Well last week I painted the pieces for my tulip mosaic table and fired them.

First I painted the whole thing twice with a black glaze:

I then painted it twice again with an opague white glaze.

After that I painted the colors on each piece using more than one color at a time to add depth.

This how it looked before it was fired.  You can see the colors appear dull.

After I got it all painted I had to transfer it to the kiln shelves.  In order to fit them on the shelves I had to mix them up a bit.  Thank God I had made a map of the pieces so when it came out of the kiln I could put it back together easier.

Here is how it looks after it was fired and put back together.  What do you think?  I love it!

Stay tuned because this week I will put it all together on the table top.

Can't wait!

Debbie
